We stayed at The Hayloft and particularly loved the open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen room with log burner; it was a great space for socialising as we were always together. We were also impressed by the welcome pack; a great mix of basics such as milk, bread and butter along with some lovely treats. We also found the cottage to be very well equipped, everything we needed was there. I loved the Warm Ginger handwash so much that I bought some in Hay-on-Wye to bring back home. We also appreciated your care and concern when the heating hadn't kicked in downstairs, and you provided the additional hot air heaters. We were all lovely and warm, both upstairs and down.

The Cosy Cafe in Hay-on-Wye was a great find and would highly recommend. Great food and coffee.

A wonderful voluminous country retreat on the outskirts of Hay. All newly renovated, spotless, warm (even in the middle of winter), with wood burners and a free bottle of champers to boot. We had a lovely stay. Highly recommended.

We loved everything about the Hayloft - the location, the welcome pack, the cottage itself and its high quality fixtures and fittings. Due to the rain, we spent more time in the cottage than we normally would and we could have contacted the owners to ask the heating programme be altered so that it came on later in the morning and stayed on longer - but we resolved this by lighting the fire earlier which made it even more cosy.

Summer stays must be amazing but we went on a cold, wet weekend in December and had a warm, comfortable and cosy stay combined with a muddy and enjoyable walk alongside the river to Glasbury, a trip to Hay on Wye to mooch around the shops, the market and the castle and have coffee and lunch, a beginners' pottery session with Maddie Made Mud in Abergavenny on the way to the cottage and a trip to Brecon on the way home. If you go in the rainy season, take your waterproofs, enjoy the weather whatever it throws at you and cosy up in the cottage when you get back from your wet walks and local visits. We booked a Tesco delivery but should have booked earlier to get a better slot

Ideal location. Lots of info on leaflets in the cottages. Ideal for stunning walks, or relaxation, or trips to gorgious Hay-On-Wye and surrounding villages.
