Byways Boutique Bed & Breakfast

Lovely room with outdoor space to sit overlooking a beautiful garden. Caroline & Darren are very friendly hosts - we enjoyed our breakfast chats, including tips on where to go locally. Of course Charlie’s visits were great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and looking forward to when we can do it again.

Our two recent stays at Byways have been made hugely enjoyable by the warm and friendly care and amazing attention to every possible need from Caroline and Darren. Our bonus was adorable Charlie! We look forward to coming back to Flaxby!

We had a very enjoyable relaxed stay at Byways. Caroline was a great host, very helpful. Lovely good size room with view onto the garden and fields beyond. Great breakfast.

A superbB&B and one of the best we have ever stayed in. We stayed in the Mexico suite which is a good size room, very comfortable and with views out across the back garden, made even better with the sprinkling of snow providing a real Christmas feeling. Both Caroline and Darren are the perfect host providing useful information and direction about places to visit where to park as the Christmas markets were on. Great recommendations of where to eat along with discounts that they had in place for their guests. A really caring couple, whose only goal was to make your stay the most enjoyable. The breakfast was fantastic and cooked to order, one of the best we have tasted with locally sourced produce. Our only regret was that we had only booked two nights and had hoped that the snow would have been much deeper in order to keep us there that little bit longer. Great company was also had with other guests during our stay, sharing tales and experiences. We will definitely stay there again and will recommend to our friends and family.
