Everything about Taransay House is perfect! Beautiful room, beautiful view, exceptional breakfasts and dinners! Scott is a first class chef! Murto gave us great Skye itineraries. We loved our stay.

This is a small B&B with a really first-class kitchen, which must be a very unusual combination. Scott, who does the meals, genuinely enjoys putting together creative meals using locally sourced products, and presenting them in equally creative ways. Murdo is very helpful with suggestions as to itineraries in different parts of Skye.

Our stay at Taransay House in Portree was outstanding from start to finish. Murdo was an exceptional host — kind, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. His son Scott was our chef during the stay, and his cooking was truly five-star. Every meal he prepared was phenomenal, with top-quality ingredients and presentation that rivaled any fine dining experience. The rooms were extra large, spotless, and beautifully appointed, with gorgeous views that made it a pleasure to wake up each morning. The location was also perfect — peaceful yet within easy walking distance of downtown Portree, which made exploring the area so convenient. Taransay House combines world-class cuisine, warm hospitality, and exceptional comfort. We would stay here again without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Skye.
