Thank uou for all your kindnesses, and there were many of them. My wife and I have always enjoyed our previous stays at Borve immensely and this trip was no different for my daughter and myself. It feels almost like coming home now. I shall certainly be back at some point in the future, and I look forward to that next trip a lot.

Tips for other travellers

A great location for exploring the whole of the West of Lewis, from Uig Sands in the South West to Ness and the Butt of Lewis in the North. Once you stay here you'll be back. It is impossble not to fall in love with this wonderful island on the edge of the wild Atlantic Ocean, and in half a century of visiting I haven't found a better place to stay.

We enjoyed excellent food and accommodation throughout our stay with our dog. The staff were all welcoming; friendly and efficient.

Tips for other travellers

We travelled the length and breadth of the Island during our stay. The dog has run his legs off on the beautiful beaches. Lots of historic sites are dog friendly and we were impressed by the toilet facilities in obscure locations.

We had a great stay. All the staff were friendly and helpful.. shout out to Johnny, we had a good chat in the bar 😀 Dog friendly with places to walk. Would recommend.

Tips for other travellers

There is a lovely pottery shop just across the road. Within reasonable driving distance on that west coast are historic points of interest.

Loved the hotel. Great stay. Room was huge- I think a super king size bed would be good in the proportions of this room. Noisy the first night but understandable. So quiet the next night. Food and personal service super.

Tips for other travellers

Butt of Lewis Lighthouse, standing stone at Trushal, Steinacleit complex, Norse mill, Dun Carloway, Callanish stone circle, beach at Cnip for a swim. If staying on Sunday most things closed but you can visit all the above attractions without the visitor centre. Get a brilliant packed lunch from the hotel. Coffee only place we saw was the Llama Experience beside Callanish.
