Very welcoming on arrival, and great communication before and during my stay. Great spot on a quiet street in the centre of town. Right next to the castle with quiet riverside walks virtually on the doorstep.

Lovely walk down to and along the river. We visited Mother Shiptons cave, a must.

I took my evening meals at the Grove Inn pub. Real ale and reliable pub food. Unpretentious and family atmosphere. St. John the Baptist Church and Church yard is worth visiting.

Best breakfast in Nidderdale and generous with catering. Hosts Robert and Karen have always got the time to chat.
