Great meals at Carriages and Six Poor Folk. Great pints in all of the pubs we went in but loved Blind Jack, worlds End and definitely the Track and Sleeper while waiting for the train (we missed 2 trains as we enjoyed it so much!).

Had a lovely stay. Great guest house I would visit again. Owner very welcoming and helpful to point me in the right direction to tourist attractions and shops. Room very clean and quiet. Really liked the extra thought you make such as providing toiletries, tea/coffee/biscuit in the room and the little fridge outside the room with milk and bottled water. Your breakfast was amazing and very good coffee. Appreciated letting me leave my luggage before check in and offering same at check out time so I could explore without the hassle of taking my case. Highly recommend

Tips for other travellers

Visited the castle (great views) and the local shops (the Donkeys Years antique shop especially good). Lots of pubs and cafes, I went to pub Worlds End, great food and welcoming staff. Had coffee at Number13, coffee was great and the cakes looked really good. Thomas the Bakery has amazing sandwiches and pastries. Lots to do in knaresborough
