We had a group of 16 people traveling to Kumasi for 3 days and staying at Asantewaa was a good fit for us. The price was reasonable, the location was great for visiting the craft villages, but with traffic it can take a long time to get into downtown Kumasi. One room that was labeled as a family room was not the configuration we expected. The hotel responded by bringing in an extra bed. Staff was very professional and responsive to any needs. Thankful for a great stay in Kumasi.

Tips for other travellers
Visting Bonwire for observing Kente being made and Ntonso for Adinkra stamping are easy from this location and must do events. The quality is high and prices in these villages are very reasonable. Those promoting sales were easy to work with as well.

Service staff and food was horrific and poor. Lots of training needed. Might be ok for Africans. I would not recommend for western guests.
