Pauline was there to greet us when we arrived and show us round. She explained how everything works and how to put up the dog fencing and left us to it (we had paid for drop and dip and the hot tub was at the perfect temperature when we arrived). Pauline was always available (I phoned her for some advice) but was never intrusive.

Tips for other travellers

There are lots of lovely dog walks virtually from the door. There's a village shop, chip shop, butchers and pub within walking distance. The bus stop is also a short walk away with buses every hour in winter and half hour in summer. The bus goes to Scarborough (Eastwards) and Malton, York and Leeds (Westwards). This means you can go for a pub lunch or spend the day shopping and not worry about driving or car parking charges. Mostly we just relaxed, watched the birds and watched the farmer working the fields.

Me, my wife and our dog had a great stay, Pauline is lovely and really helpful. The hut had everything we needed. We will be back.

Beautiful cottage in peaceful setting with the added bonus of a hot tub. Lovely walks and playground/dog walking area 2 minutes walk. Everything you need in the local village. Can personally recommend the fish and chips and the local pies. Great for days out to other areas and the seaside. Hosts are great and are on hand anytime if needed.
