Pheasant's Roost was a very enjoyable stay, it had everything we needed including tea/coffee/biscuits and a pint of milk for when we arrived. Local shops had anything else we needed. The Hot Tub was up to temperature when we arrived, and was so inviting. The location was ideal for my event at Scampston Walled Garden on the Saturday.

Scampston Walled Garden and Conservatory is a must see for the keen gardener. Nunnigton Hall was also a great trip out from Rillington, and Beningsborough Hall was also well worth the visit. The local Fish and chip shop meal was a tasty treat.

I'm pleased you enjoyed Scampston, it's also not a bad walk to get there, and they have a coffee shop too. There are quite a few gardens around here to visit. I recently found a 2 for 1 Gardeners World app where you pay £10 for the year which I thought was useful. Scampston is included on Fri and Sat only.

Cosy cottage with a lovely hot tub. Very friendly owners who responded quickly to emails and were there to welcome us on arrival.

Two pubs within walking distance, both do food though we never ate there. Loads of places you can visit within an hour’s drive. We visited Castle Howard, Whitby amongst others. Malton is really close too.

Beautiful shepherds hut in a stunning location. Wonderful view and amazing sunsets. Bed was really comfy and we slept so well. Lovely and warm and cosy with the logburner. A perfect weekend which was really needed.

Chippy in the village was really tasty and massive portions. Village shop a five minute walk away with everything you could need. Plenty of walks nearby and Filey was only about a 30min drive away. Would definitely return and recommend.
