We had a lovely stay with a central location. Owners Greg and Angela were very nice, helpful and friendly.

Thank you so much for your very kind review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are very fortunate to be so close to the village centre, yet just far enough away for it to be peaceful and quiet.

Hosts Greg and Angela are excellent and the Westbourne has everything you could want for a short stay. Having stayed here several times we found the guest house and service 1st class and always improving. Rooms are always clean and toiletries top class. Position is away from any noisy traffic or bars but only a few minutes from the centre of Bowness. Cosy sitting room with soft mood music, and honest box for drinks and snacks. We will always stay here as it is top class.

Tips for other travellers
Walk up to Windermere via Longlands Road, ignore 'private road' signs, for a quiet and pleasant stroll away from traffic. Also go off this road to visit cafe and scenery by the lake at jetty museum ( no need to buy tickets ) then back to the trail to continue onto Windermere. This is a very good walk with a countryside feel.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. It really means alot to us that you enjoyed your stay and you continue to return. The walk up Longlands Road is a great alternative to the usual route up the main road, and one which we often walk too. Glad that you discovered the Jetty Museum cafe. It's a real gem. Look forward to your next visit.
