Appley Lodge is your home away from home From the moment you arrive you are welcomed warmly - it feels like old friends rather than just accommodation. The house is beautifully maintained in and out. The hosts are amazing and make you feel so welcome - they text in the mornings just to check you got the ferry Ok and to check what time you will arrive - they generally care about you!

Tips for other travellers

It in a lovely quiet road, but not far from the sea and lovely restaurants. Everything is within walking distance and for the less abled there are lots of car parking near amenities. Breakfast is a delight from fruit to sausages!

Gareth and Wendy are lovely hosts, we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was comfortable and quiet, made for a good night's sleep, the only minus was the size of the en suite shower room. Breakfast was great, fresh fruit or cereal, fruit juice and a choice of hot food cooked to order. We could not fault it.

Tips for other travellers

Just a short walk to the lift that takes you to the sea front. Also a short walk to Shanklin centre with lots of restaurants and bars. We liked Amici an Italian restaurant in the High street, also King Harry's bar in Shanklin old village. Do check out Shanklin Theatre for what's on during your stay.
