Had a wonderful stay at The Birkdale Guest House during the end of December 2025 to early January 2026. Lesley and Colin always the most amazing hosts with glorious little touches that make the stay so memorable. Would highly recommend.

Leslie and Colin, are awesome people,they have great accommodation, rooms are excellent they bend over backwards to please there guests,nothing is too much trouble. Sarah is a cleaner and keeps rooms clean and tidy. Would not go anywhere else to stay other than The Birkdale. We look at them as family because they are so nice.

Lesley and Colin are the perfect hosts. We received a warm welcome on our arrival. The room was perfectly clean, the bed comfortable and tea and biscuits plentiful. A nice touch was having a small fridge in room containing 2 bottles of spring water ( refillable from the hall) and milk (again replenished from the dining room fridge) for tea/or coffee. I can honestly say that the Birkdale is a cut above the norm.
