Endless choices for eating out all within walking distance. No problems finding attractions on the Island. The Shanklin Chine is wonderful and the best way to reach the beach through a chilled walkway and your entrance fee lasts a full 7 days. Excellent value. The Needles is a good day out with a Roman villa nearby with Mosaic floors. Loads of other attractions all within a short distance with an excellent Bus service to connect.

Without doubt an excellent place to stay. The helpfulness and friendliness of the owners was unsurpassed and we would therefore have no hesitation in recommending The Birkdale to any other travellers. Having your own parking space throughout our stay was an added bonus. Indeed we have already booked our holiday at The Birkdale for 2023.

We absolutely enjoyed staying at Berkdale Guest House. Quiet location, though in the center of the town, very clean room and the house (19th century) is really very well restored and mantained, very friendly hosts (Lesley and Colin). Deffinitely recommend this place. PS Pleasantly surprised with home-made welcome treats.

Very nice fish and chips nearby - The Happy Haddock, sweets shop - The Rock shop (just around the corner) and very nice sea cost :)

An immaculate guest house. The fruit salad is the best I have ever had and all the cooked breakfasts were beautifully cooked. Colin and Lesley were wonderful hosts and Sarah provided a very friendly breakfast service. We wish you a very successful season as you fully deserve it.

Farringford is definitely worth a visit as is the Brading Roman Villa. Amici, The Fisherman’s Cottage and The Dairyman’s Daughter at Arreton provided lovely meals.
