An excellent place to stay with great breakfasts. Rooms were comfortable and I lived the view across the loch from room 6. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Tips for other travellers

Taj Mahal restaurant in the town. Horseshoe Inn, a few minutes drive away. Kilmartin museum and walking in Kilmartin Glen. A good stop off before catching the Islay ferry.

Really spacious room, good linens and very comfortable bed. Special thanks to the lovely breakfast crew! The choice and quality of the breakfast were great and all the staff we met were so friendly and we felt very welcome. The hosts have great local knowledge and gave us some very good suggestions on nearby places to go that we’d never have found otherwise. Absolutely recommend Kilmory House.

Tips for other travellers

Taj Mahal in the main street is some of the best Indian food we’ve ever eaten. So good we ate there both nights. Crinan canal drive and the Crinan Hotel are nearby. Drive down to Cambelltown has many beaches and places of interest. If travelling down from Oban take the side trip to Easdale.
