We have stayed at Scooniehill on several occasions and never been disappointed. Breakfasts are wonderful and Mike and Sam could not do enough for you. We will be back.

The attention to detail in the room was first rate. All sorts of extra touches like the automated night light in the bathroom and providing floss harps. Evrrything was spotless and well maintained. Sam and Mike are both so friendly and helpful that we felt sorry to leave.

Lovely hosts, couldn’t be more welcoming. The handmade chocolates in the room were yummy. The view out across St Andrews spires and beaches to Tentsmuir from the room was stunning. Breakfasts made to order were very tasty.

Tips for other travellers
All the little Fife villages are worth visiting if you enjoy walking along the piers and the beaches and the coastal paths between the villages are good exercise if you fancy a more strenuous walk. Lots of places to eat in St Andrews although we opted to go other places like the Ship Inn at Elie and Strathkinness Tavern (recommend booking first) We watched a couple of swimmers using the tidal pool at Pittenweem but it looked VERY cold…..
