Another wonderful stay at Crafts Hill Barn. Can't fault it any way, Jo's hospitality is brilliant and we were so happy with everything. 10/10

Definitely use the sauna! The additional food, Mediterranean platter, pizza and chilli were delicious, I'd recommend getting those items

This retreat is a treat. The owners have created a haven for those seeking a break from the monotonies of life. it's designed purely to immerse you in a space that gives you time to think and reflect. The cabin looks out onto a large pond ringed with bulrushes, designed for swimming, jetties providing entry into clean, almost silky water, which has lillies floating on it, damsel flies dancing above them and large dragon flies zipping about hunting. There's a sauna positioned a little way from the cabin amongst the trees that surround the pond and comfortable chairs and a hammock seemingly placed at random, but which pick up the sun at different times during the day. The interior of the cabin has been designed to reflect its surroundings with a calming colour palette and the focus is on the large glass windows that bring traverse inside and out. There is great attention to detail - from the luxurious bed linen and essential oils down to the little glass bottles, (supplied daily on request) which contain fruit juices. The hosts can provide food and there's a fire pit to cook on.

We had a brilliant day in Cambridge especially enjoying a punt along the river which included a very interesting, informative, narrative which wetted our appetite to see MORE Cambridge and explore the buildings.

The fact that we keep returning to the Dragonfly Cabin year after year says it all. It’s the perfect place to relax and everything you could wish for is provided. And we love swimming and drifting about in the inner tubes. On our first night we heated up one of Jo’s chilli meals over the firepit and it was scrumptious. The following day we had a delicious- and generous - fisherman’s platter. And we managed a final swim before breakfast before we had to tear ourselves away. We will be back!

Now this is where I can’t be very helpful. We spend almost all our time around the cabin and the pool. We did go for a circular walk round the village and Andrew did hire an electric bike for a couple of outings. But our idea of bliss is to read, swim - and stay put.
