We thoroughly enjoyed our one night in The Cubbie. The property and its amenities are spectacular! We enjoyed a game of pool, rock-hounding (found a few small Yooperlites), and treated ourselves to a sauna. The bed was extremely comfortable - we both slept soundly - but still managed to get up early and walk down to the point for the sunrise. Thank you for sharing your home!

If you want to make full use of all the property has to offer, pick up your dinner and/or groceries before arriving so you stay on the property once you arrive. There is so much to do and, as always, not enough time to do it all. Remember to relax and watch the sun set - or rise, depending on your preference.

This is the place to go if you’re in the Houghton area! Clean and oh so comfortable! Hosts/Owners are fabulous! Definite 10/10

We thought the pie was good! Ate it all :) Thank you for sharing!! Winter is beautiful on the lake! Our county has a fabulous snow removal team on the clock 24 hours. We've lived here and commuted the half hour to work and school since 2018. Some days are sunny with crystal clear roads... others are snowy and sometimes icy but the community thrives through it all. We provide snow shoes, driers for mittens, hats, and boots, even access to heated garage stalls for snowmobile repairs. :) This is truly a winter wonderland!

Beautifully romantic room with a magical view of Superior. My husband and I very much enjoyed celebrating our wedding anniversary at the Castle.

I’d recommend staying for more than a couple days so you can fully soak in all of the local sites.

The night sky was beautiful and the sunsets were gorgeous. Just sit outside and enjoy the view looking west over Lake Superior.
