As you journey your way to the cabin, you feel a web of relaxation taking over, I could of honestly sat on the balcony forever snuggled up in the blankets, the wildlife noises take your mind off any troubles and spotting the wildlife was a highlight for me. Obviously until I turned around and entered the most amazing cabin, so cosy, so many thoughtful touches, it really is a feast. Don't ever think its to cold for an outside bath as its worth every moment. Thank you Helen for your kindness in sharing your piece of heaven.

This was a true eco-retreat in every sense of the word and was just amazing. The first thing that sets it apart from other so-called ‘eco’ retreats is its stunning location. After an enchanting walk through the woods following a fairy light trail (pushing your wheelbarrow with your bags!) you arrive at the most unique cabin I have ever seen erected from natural, reclaimed, and recycled materials, set in a secluded wildflower meadow in front of a picturesque pond enabling you to reconnect with nature and wildlife. Inside the attention to detail was second to none and an education for us, nothing had been omitted even the lovely welcome pack such as bacon from the local butcher in a brown paper bag, organic eggs, freshly baked bread, milk in a glass bottle, nothing toxic anywhere. The log burner made it all so cosy, the bed was comfortable, and we loved the quirky outdoor bath even though we visited on the coldest day of the year! Helen’s hospitality was first class, so lovely and friendly and she anticipated our needs before we even knew them. We can't wait to stay again.

What a slice of heaven! Absolutely beautiful place to rest and reconnect. The privacy, peace and tranquillity of the surroundings gave my husband and I the much needed sanctuary we were looking for. Stayed for 4 nights, would’ve loved to have stayed longer, and will, without a doubt, be back! On a practical note, the cabin has everything you need, the bed is extremely comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, the hot water is hot-the bath outside was just wonderful-and Helen has added some lovely touches to make you feel very welcome. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ L&E Mitchell July 2023
