Ideal - excellent communication and pleasant well presesented house. A non-slip mat for bath/shower would be a help.

Thank you we are super pleased you had everything you needed. Not sure where the bath map went so will pop a new one into the house. If you book and climb the Cathedral steps there is also an amazing view of the city.

Paula’s Steele Street is the absolute perfect location to everything; we couldn't have asked for anything better. There’s a short cut to Bridge St and 60sec walk to the Roman Gardens and access to the Roman wall. The keypad entry on the door is easy and so nice not having to keep up with keys. The kitchen fridge had just enough room for my husbands pints of ice cream in the freezer. Beds were comfortable, Paula even had another fan delivered to us since it was hot that week. Shower had great pressure and water was consistently hot. You can rest easy knowing everything you need is provided and well maintained. We would stay here again in the future without hesitation.

We loved people watching in the morning right outside of Coffee Barista (200 Coffee Shop). There are tables set up and it was nice to enjoy their delicious coffee and pastries. We also loved the Shakespeare Midsummer Night’s Dream performance through Storyhouse. It’s such a fun outing and you can bring your own wine and snacks. Not a bad seat in the house…unless it rains then you’ll want the covered seats! The performance does not cancel because of rain. We loved La Fratorria for the best pizza and pasta, lively place great for kids. La Brassiere in the Grosvenor’s Hotel was AMAZING. Go to the New Chester Market (food hall) everything we tried in there was super delicious. Diddy Donuts under the Eastgate Clock was my go to for hot cinnamon sugar mini donuts. Pars Kahve was a lovely Turkish lunch -so flavorful! We dont have kids but I hear the zoo is a wonderful place to visit. Unfortunately, we missed the horse races got, and we really regret not seeing that bit of Chester. All in all we will hold special memories of our time in this special part of Northern England. It’s such a great base to day trip to Liverpool or Manchester too! Please do yourself a favor and book Enjoy The Pause holiday house. No need to waste anymore time researching, it will satisfy your needs if looking for a two bedroom/one bath.
