Exceptional breakfast, service, and comfort. Over and above the norm - advice on local attractions and amenities. Overall, a great hospitality experience. 100% recommended - my wife and I had a lovely 6 days at Mallard Grange and Maggie is a great host.

Having stayed here at a time in the past we finally renewed our acquaintance with Maggie this week. Great place to stay in the quiet of the countryside but also surrounded by great places to visit. Ripon is a good place for evening meals or lunch and when we were here even parking there was relatively easy. Particularly recommended a visit to Newby Hall which is fairly close to Mallard Grange.

We had 3 very good nights at Mallard Grange. The room was spacious with arm chairs, table, kettle and all the facilities we needed. The bed was amazingly comfortable and luxurious. It was a room you could return to during the day to relax which we did and it made up for the very wet weather. Maggie has a real gift of hospitality caring for each guests' individual needs and making us feel so welcome. The breakfast was leisurely and set you up for the day. We just needed a few more nights to try out all the cooked breakfast's on the menu. We had not visited the area before but despite the weather found a lot to do and Maggie was very helpful with suggestions. This certainly was the best B and B we've been to and was much better than an impersonal hotel. We thoroughly recommend you visit Mallard Grange and are so pleased our friends recommended it.

We had a lovely stay at Mallard Grange. Our room was perfect - large, spotless, beautiful decor and idyllic views. Everything deserves its 5 star rating and everything had been thought of from the homemade biscuits on the coffee tray and lovely toiletries in the modern ensuite to the quality of the bedding on the biggest and most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept on, wish we could have brought it home! Breakfast was delicious, full English to salmon or croissants and anything in between. Maggie is so welcoming and knowledgeable about farming life, the surrounding area and places to visit. Well worth visiting, we’ll definitely be back!
