Mallard Grange

Maggie's welcome was heartfelt and genuine on both of our visits. Our room was spacious and well equipped, comfortable and enjoyed a view of open fields, pheasants on the wall and the comings and goings of the suckler herd. The cooked breakfasts provide generous and ample choice and always set us up for the day full of enjoyment in the picturesque county of North Yorkshire. The nature of a stay at a working farm adds considerably to the interest and sense of immersion in the heart of the countryside while offering all the comforts of home. Of particular note are Maggie's home made preserves and the farm's honey and there is usually the opportunity to purchase a jar for your return home.

What a lovely B&B this is situated in the Yorkshire countryside and certainly one we will happily recommend and return to at some point. The room was spacious and well thought out with wonderful views of the locality. The breakfast was unsurpassable with much of it being home grown as well as home made. Maggie is an excellent cook and puts a lot of time and effort into making all her guests feel welcome. Mallard Grange is a real ‘must’ if you want to witness Yorkshire hospitality at its best.

A wonderful friendly welcome at this working farm. The bedroom was very comfortable and well equipped with toiletries, drinks and mini fridge. Breakfasts were outstanding and nothing too much trouble . Advise readily given in planning your day ( if needed) Excellent!
