Having a log-burner with lots of wood already available and clear instructions to hand was a bonus. There was enough cutlery and crockery for the residents of each specific apartment, but there was not enough if you wanted to entertain. We were grateful to be allowed to book in slightly early (because there had been no guests the night before). it would be helpful to have a sign on the road when approaching the gates, indicating that one had almost arrived at Henley Hall.

We enjoyed a meal at the Charlton Arms which is set above the river and the weir. it is a beautiful spot. The food is good (and very good value). If you can 'lose' 2+ hours, take a TOWN TOUR. A resident of Ludlow walks you round the town and the outside of the castle and tells you the history. Some of it is quite gruesome. Book taxis in advance; they are very very busy when you find you need one.

Didn't meet anyone from Henley Hall but it was not necessary. We me the lady who was cleaning up after us. She was lovely. The accommodation was excellent. Everything worked!! Lovely bedlinen, towels and very comfortable furniture , especially the beds. The grounds were spectacular and the dog enjoyed it as much as we did. Henley Hall provided throws for the furniture so our dog could get on it. Everything was well thought out and gave us a wonderful weekend break. Thank you to everyone at Henley Hall

Milk, beverages and Prosecco was provided on arrival. Uber couldn't find us! But they would pickup at the end of the long drive! Poor mobile signal in our accommodation Take wellies (if in winter) as the gardens are beautiful You will really enjoy your stay a Henley Hall

We stayed at Henley Hall stables 1,2,3, gardeners cottage and orangery as a large family group for an extended weekend. It was fabulous. Five star service from Helen, Sebastian and team from being very patient with us through the booking process, dealing efficiently and politely with us despite multiple changes (thank you) to the warm welcome, and helpfulness during the stay. The accommodation was spotless superbly equipped and best of all.. the beds were comfy! Everything first rate.

Allow lots of time for mooching round Ludlow town and book restaurants in advance. We liked the Charlton Arms and the French House. There’s a super brunch spot by the river below the castle on the corner of a road called the Linney - sadly can’t remeber its name.
