Superb gardens with magnificent trees, beautiful river (kingfisher sighted), and lots of secluded spots - a major attraction. Our cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. A bit dark downstairs. Steep stairs need another short stretch of handrail for elderly users. H H has a rather attractive air of mystery. It is easy to imagine Victorian house parties there in its better days. It wd be nice to play croquet on extensive sunken lawn in front.

We have already recommended you to family members as we are a Ludlow family (now mainly living all over) but we have a family reunion every summer which a good group of us come up for. My father is the youngest of four brothers and the only one standing at 88years old. Trying to find suitable accommodation over the last couple of years with mobility challenges hasn’t been easy. Stable 1 was perfect for us. We love the beautiful grounds and views, it being so close to Ludlow but set in stunning landscape with amazing trees. We found the accommodation very comfortable and homely, whilst retraining country house class with the furnishings. It is fantastic to come somewhere that is pet friendly too (we have a rescue pug from Nepal, where my parents lived for 46years). Any one we met at the property doing works was always incredibly friendly and helpful. Jen (who the family knows, but we hadn’t seen for forty years) did a fantastic job of making sure we had everything we needed. We absolutely loved the stables at Henley Hall and have booked for next summer already, but hope to be up in October for my parents 60th wedding anniversary and also hopefully at Christmas. We loved it and so have no doubt you will see much more of us, if you’ll have us. Thank you and your wonderful team so much. A perfect break away.
