John was very helpful on arrival and also during the stay. He was out every morning checking the hot tub for us. Very welcoming.

We picked this place as a group of us like to have a weekend to enjoy playing board games and just catching up. This house was brilliant as each room had a bathroom but there were also two toilets downstairs. It had plenty of chairs and tables for games and the kitchen was well stocked. John greeted us and just ran through a couple of things but everything went pretty smoothly. The only thing that let the place down was the old sofas but a couple of blankets over the top and all was grand.

We (13people, including 3children, plus a dog) enjoyed our weekend stay at the lodge. Downstairs the kitchen/diner was well equipped, large and airy. Ample seating for everyone. Comfortable lounge with log burner. Lift to the first floor where a well equipped bedroom for those with mobility issues was located. All bedrooms were ensuite (some walk in showers, some shower over bath) and were comfortable. Location is subjective, but the property is on the edge of a village, with good outside space, and several walks. Not far from a major supermarket, various towns and attractions, and Bristol Airport. Communication with John (owner) was good before and during our stay.

John & Paula were super hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The accommodation was ideal for 19 in our group. Very well equipped kitchen with a large dining area. This looked out onto the side garden with a wonderful hot tub which we made use of. Cosy lounge with log fire & TV plus games/boot room. Nice ensuite comforatble bedrooms with a lift to the first floor.
