This was my second stay as a solo traveller, after having felt so comfortable last time. I stayed in Owl Lodge which is absolutely idyllic inside & out. Every possible thing you could think of is included, and everywhere is spotless. Check in was effortless and easy, especially as I knew what to do from my last stay. The surroundings are beautiful and full of wildlife, from squirrels, rabbits and birds, to the odd cat roaming around. And of course, the wonderful chickens who visit the lodges, so friendly, especially Bear with her two babies! I also had my first ever massage when I arrived, provided by the wonderful Shelley, who put me completely at ease in the relaxing surroundings. I can thoroughly recommend the experience. Ronnie and Josephine were also brilliant, leaving me to enjoy my stay but also checking in that everything was okay, and providing some lovely info on the chickens! Nothing is too much trouble for them, which was greatly appreciated. All in all, if anyone wants a luxury stay away from everything but nature and peace, this is the place to stay. I felt completely at home, and can't wait to return! I've also recommended it to all my friends as there is simply nothing to fault. Wonderful place, wonderful people!

We stayed on the kingfisher narrow boat for our 30th wedding anniversary and it was the perfect place to be. The boat was spotless and had everything we needed. The log burner was so cosy after watching the sunset. We had the personal chef meal and it was amazing! Especially the scallops, the best we've ever tasted so compliments to Sarah our chef 👏. We had great communication with Ronnie the lovely owner making sure everything was ok. Just a great experience all round. Beautiful.

A little bit of luxury tucked away in the woods, fantastic sunsets and so peaceful. Owl lodge has everything you need from the robes, slippers and blankets to the complimentary breakfast. Definitely will be returning

My wife and I really enjoyed our time in owl Lodge, so relaxing and quiet place to be, very private and intimate setting, the place is beautiful and well presented, clean and fresh, the hot tub was great it was used a lot and the outdoor cinema experience is a great idea, the chickens were frequent visitors and my wife loved them, thankyou, we will certainly be returning

Hi Rob thank you so much for for the kind review. I'm glad you got to use the cinema, it's all a bit new so we weren't sure how easy guests would find it, it's all pretty simple though. I just love the way you point it at the screen and it squares itself off and focuses. The chickens are ace. I never realised they would be so much fun. I thought they would be boring livestock but they are all real characters and such fun. Regarding the power packs, we've done away with the boxes for them so it's a lot easier to charge them or check if they are fully charged. Thank you for drawing it to our attention, we did have a look at it, and made changes which should fix the issue. Thanks Rob and hopefully see you again one day. Josephine and Ronnie Lee
