A little late posting our review from our getaway in August, sorry! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Owls Nest as a family of 2 adults, a child, a baby and 3 dogs. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. Some lovely eggs and snacks were waiting for us on arrival. All kitchen utensils and equipment you could need were provided in the cupboards and drawers. There was a good selection of board games. We enjoyed sitting at the table outside enjoying some well needed family time whilst the dogs were free to safely roam around the paddock. There was also a small collection of DVDs and some playing cards. Thank God for the multiple fans in the cupboard, we visited when it was extremely hot and these became a savour. Clean towels (including tea towels) and bed linen are provided. As well as some blankets, dog food bowls and a couple of dog toys. Communication was easy with the owners via text message. We had a fantastic time and hope to visit again in the future. Many thanks

We found it difficult to locate a Chinese restaurant that delivers, but we finally managed to order from Royal Gourmet, which I would highly recommend ordering from during your stay.

Great little place to stay really rural and a fantastic field leesa although was in the background kept us informed .The dogs loved the outside paddocks and the freedom to open the door and run around with no escaping as all secure .The cottage itself was cosy and had everything you needed for a fantastic stay .

A really lovely dog friendly cottage, which is cosy and comfortable, yet with plenty of space for humans and dogs to stretch out and relax. The cottage was immaculately clean and the location is beautiful - stunning views across the countryside and incredibly quiet and peaceful. The stand out feature for us was the little private field adjoining the cottage, where we could let our nervous dog off lead to play and run - it was the happiest I’ve ever seen him! our elderly dog loved sunbathing in the field too.

Dog friendly trips out: Old Hunstanton Beach - quite touristy and busy with arcades and lots to do. Our dogs were especially impressed with the freshly baked doughnuts being sold on the seafront! We also had gorgeous home made ice cream and ice lollies here. Wells Next The Sea - a huge, sandy beach. Very pretty with beach huts and accessed along a wooded path. The harbour was interesting too and we found a lovely ice cream shop with about 1001 different flavours overlooking the harbour. Sherringham - Bustling and interesting little seaside town. The tide was in when we visited, but we spent ages sitting and gazing out to sea. North Norfolk Heritage Railway - Would give this a miss. It cost us £56 for a short return diesel train journey. Yes, the views were pretty, but not worth £56, although you could get off at a couple of smaller stations for a walk. Staff volunteers were not particularly helpful, and one was downright rude to my friend, addressing her as “Oi, outta there!” when she went into the little museum to ask where to pay the car park donation. Holt Country Park - Very pretty woods, with sculptures dotted around and a variety of trails waymarked. Good for a couple of hours for a walk and picnic. Holkham Hall - Vast grounds to explore and dogs are allowed in the walled garden. You can also see the deer here. Inexpensive and you could easily spend a whole day here.
