Cosy cottage with good quality ‘fixtures and fittings’. Despite being at the junction of two main roads it is remarkably quiet and peaceful. Outdoor seating and tables in the courtyard at the front and in the garden to the side. Cottage is fairly remote so you need to drive everywhere to towns/attractions, although there are local walks too.

The drive to Rothbury is spectacular and Cragside (National Trust) is well worth a visit - you could easily spend a full day there.

The cottage is clean and comfortable and has everything you need. Location has beautiful views. Ashley had good recommendations on where to eat, and was also extremely helpful and understanding when we had difficulty with a car breakdown.

Can recommend the Redesdale Arms for both lunch and evening meals. Belsay Hall and Castle is great to visit. Kielder Forest is also worth going to.

Small but perfectly formed. Ideal for a couple. Would have liked a few more things in the kitchen such as small Pyrex bowls but this is a very small thing. Cottage is comfortable and stylish. Good location for visiting lots of places but you have to drive everywhere.

The Sill, Hadrians Wall. Cragside is gorgeous. Kielder, star gazing at the Observatory was fabulous (lucky as it was a clear night.) Must book in advance. Tracing family history so went to Eyemouth. Nice little fishing town. Nice walks and Pub/Cafe in Elsdon.
