We had a lovely weekend at Thorney Mire Cabin watching all the wildlife. The cabin was perfect for us, and who wouldn't love waking up to seeing red squirrels right outside the window. We just wished we'd booked for longer and we'll definitely be visiting again. Thank you for having us and for the warm welcome.

The White Hart pub did excellent food, the Green Dragon was lovely too and right next to Hardraw falls which is worth a quick walk up to. Bolton Castle (about 30 minutes away) is also an interesting visit.

Lovely hosts. The Lookout was spotless and very well equipped. Such a nice touch to have cheese, crackers and marshmallows (to toast in the fire pit) waiting for us.

We stayed in the Lookout and slept with the blinds open. Great to watch the stars at night and see the forest wake up in the morning. Put food out for the squirrels on the window ledge and you can watch them very close behind the glass. Walk to Hawes was lovely. Great food at the White Hart.
