Thorney Mire Woodland Retreat

Fantastic retreat with everything you need for a break away from the hustle and bustle. Daily visits by red squirrels and a variety of birds. Great hosts on hand for any issue but I doubt you would have any!

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish, we have had a amazing time in the shepards hut it was perfect and cozy in every way. The host was very friendly and helpful with information about the red squirrels and the local area for walking, we did some beautiful walks right from the door of the shepards hut the scenery is amazing and at the end of the day perfect to sit on the decking watching the squirrels play and feed and also the different kinds of birds coming to the feeders. We will definitely be returning and cant wait. It truly is an amazing special place.

The location was lovely with Red Squirrels on tap. The shepherds hut was clean and had everything needed for a short break.

Delightful from beginning to end. The Cabin has everything need to stay where you are and enjoy the wildlife. It’s also great as a base to explore the area but we found it hard to move from where we were. A great reset from the bustle of everyday life.
