While my interaction with the staff was limited, as I had no issues with my stay, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Bothies. I would certainly like to return one day.

Tips for other travellers

There is a path out of the woods, on the North side of the Bothies, which is much quicker in getting to the road to Logie Coldstone. Far quicker than walking back to the original road you drive in off of. The Airedale pub in the local village is a fantastic little pub, ran by Emma and Daniel. Lovely Sunday dinners, an open mic night on a Friday. Well worth the trip in.

A fabulous relaxing and peaceful stay Had everything you needed to cook on the stove.lovely walks outside and on your doorstep . Bed lovely and comfy ,we loved sitting outside and listening to the vast variety of birds and watching them feed on the peanuts we brought with us

Bring bird food or peanuts the woodpecker especially loved them . Lots of local walks minutes away in the car. We would highly recommend 👌

Lovely place to unwind and relax. Very safe for kids to play freely. Host was friendly and welcomed us making sure we had everything we needed. Cosy snd simple. Great location. We will be back.

Tarland biking tracks were brilliant. Recommend the Tarland tearooms after for lovely lunch. Burn o vat and kinnord loch were stunning.

Fantastic stay in a peaceful, secluded setting, lovley and cosy with the wood fire and really clean. Would definitely recommend to our friends and family, so nice to be able to switch off from technology and truly relax.
