Caroline and Mike made us feel very welcome with tea and cake on arrival. The room was spotlessly clean with everything we needed. Breakfasts were delicious using homemade and home produced were possible.

Very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed the tea and cake on arrival . Good quality hospitality tray. Derbyshire oatcake was a special treat for breakfast.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sheldon House, and Caroline and Michael were great hosts. The breakfasts were superb and facilities top-notch. They were very helpful and recommended some great walks.

I thoroughly enjoyed my walk to Bakewell and back via Lathkil Dale although I am a fairly strong walker. Try to take in the Lathkil Hotel in Over Haddon. I have a special interest in the area as my ancestor - Rev. Robert Lomas was vicar of Monyash and Chelmorton from 1734 to 1776 and he tragically died when he fell into Lathkil Dale at Parson's Tor, which is named after him. Most of the locals I spoke to had heard of the story.
