We received a very warm welcome from Rosemary & Ian who were superb hosts and cooked an excellent breakfast, which set us up for the day. The views across the field were beautiful and watching the hares first thing in the morning was so exciting as we don’t have them in Surrey. It was a pleasure and a privilege to stay in such an historic property and Rosemary & Ian were always on hand if anything was needed or advice for where to go. Highly recommended.

You’ll need a car to drive into the village of Hintlesham as there is no pavement on the main road at the top of the farm drive. In the village you’ll find a very welcoming pub that does excellent food and a good choice of beer including zero alcohol and gluten free versions. Quiz night on Thursdays. Lavenham is only a 15 min drive away, a small Tudor town where you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back into the 16th century. It has some lovely pubs and restaurants. Melford Hall (National Trust) is worth a visit and Lady Amy is often seen and engages with visitors. Of course no visit to Constable country is complete without a visit to Flatford, shown in Constable’s painting The Haywain. Numerous walks to be had in the area, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Jimmys Farm & Wildlife Park is only 20 mins away if you fancy seeing some polar bears. It’s a superb day out for all ages.

We had such a lovely holiday here. A really lovely old fashioned building, wonky walls, ceilings and floors. Tiny doors all so interesting. It was always so warm in the bedroom and shower room. Rosemary and Ian were really good hosts and always available if you needed anything or advice. I think definitely the cleanest b&b we’ve stayed in. The breakfasts were really good with plenty of choice. The lightest omelette Don had, had. Lovely views from the windows and always so peaceful.

The George pub about a mile down the road in the village is a really good place to eat. We went there the first night and didn’t bother to try anywhere else. Only on the Monday as the George isn’t open that night. That night we went to the Beagle which we wouldn’t recommend! Our best day out was at Felixstowe beach, a really nice old fashioned peaceful beach. Lots of nice scenery as you drive around. The quay at Ipswich is worth a visit, but we went in middle of March on a cold windy day, so not the best time.

Can't fault this place. The lovely owners have thought of everything. Certainly one of the best B&B's we've ever stayed in. Enjoyed the human contact, so much better than the dreadful AirB&B's. We will certainly be returning.

At the quayside in Woodbridge, the are making a replica Sutton Hoo Longship. Very, very impressive. Couldn't believe the size of the ship. Lovely shops and walks in Woodbridge.
