Absolutely lovely cottage in the Isle of Skye. Clean and beautiful place with amazing view from inside and out. We stayed in Betty’s Lookout and it’s a stand alone building with 2 bedrooms, one bath, full kitchen equipped with everything you need and a living room.

Tips for other travellers

You definitely need a car to get here. It’s a 30 minutes drive from Portree and 15 min from Uig. The only restaurant around is the one at Monkstadt 1746 and they only have 8 tables so if you wanna eat there you need to book asap, months in advance. Otherwise there are 2 small places in Uig and a bunch in Potree, but they can be packed in the summer months. Make a quick stop at the Co-op supermarket in Portree and buy some groceries. Take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen. We knew we were gonna be in the middle of nowhere as that was intended and we planned accordingly. There are lots of hiking opportunities within a 30-60 minutes drive, or you can be adventurous and find your way to the beach by the cottage, off the beaten path. It’s about a mile away through high grass and over a few fences, but it is quite fun if you’re young and fit. Would definitely recommend this place.

Betty’s Lookout is perfection! Quiet, serene, so comfortable and beautifully designed. Views are unparalleled and the beds are incredibly cozy. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer. Can’t wait to come back.

We were absolutely delighted with this accommodation. It has exceeded our expectations. From the tasteful decor, the large windows that allow a wonderful view, the equipment and of course the jacuzzi. Many thanks to the owners who care about their guests being completely satisfied.

We found the location excellent. It is quiet and located in a rural area with a beautiful view of the sea. An optimal starting point to reach many places of interest, such as Quiraing
