Lovely stay again, sue and alic very helpful nothing to much trouble, great place great location great breakfast. Becky lovely cheerful waitress, have booked again for next year.

Beach right outside front door, lots of places to eat to many to mention lots of walks lots of local buses on the front to take you different places if you don't want to drive.music and bands on beach some nights sit and relax with the kids if you like.

We have been returning to Lichfield House for many years and have already booked next year's holiday here. Alec and Sue are not just wonderful hosts, but truly lovely people. Their right hand lady, Becca, is (to use my daughter's words) amazing and gorgeous. Travelling with my special needs adult daughter, we spent most evenings in our room and the provision of a dvd player and fan helped make these very comfortable. As an avid sea swimmer, I loved that I could settle my daughter on our room before simply crossing the lane to swim in the sea.

Brunswick Terrace is, in my view, the best location to swim from. Sea shoes are advisable, in view of the pebbles. Bowleaze Cove, approximately 2 miles up the coast, is also a lovely spot to visit. Weymouth Town centre has a rich diversity of eateries to fit every taste, with lots of local and family run cafés. Our favourites, for a memorable meal, were Sambo Rodizios Brazilian Steak House, for a truly exceptional meal and service. Quite expensive (£60 per head, including a soft drink) but great for a romantic or special occasion. We also found the Town Cafe serves a wonderful cup of tea, and the Cor Cafe cook a superb omelette. Both in the town centre. There are a number of very well placed chain stores, such as Primark, The Range, TKMaxx, as well as the usual favourites. Out of town there is a brand new large Marks and Spencer, as well as Sainsbury's, Asda, Aldi, Lidl and Morrisons. Weymouth's Morrisons is excellent with a well stocked salad bar and delicatessen, which became our favourite take away supper. Sea tours are always the high spot of our holidays and give an awesome view of Weymouth and the surrounding coastline. They are always reasonably priced and informative. We were thrilled to be joined by a dolphin last year, as we left Portland Harbour. Sealife is a wonderful place to visit, with or without children. They usually have some kind of Treasure Trail or exploration event going, to add to your enjoyment. The thing about Weymouth that I love most is the diversity and quality. You know there's going to be something new to find with every visit, and it's always going to be good. Whether you're into Wetherspoons (we found out there are TWO!) for a cracking cuppa, or Sambos for a Brazilian Salted Fillet Steak, or Morrisons for a £1.30 pot salad and a boiled egg!; Dancing on the beach (live entertainment), racing (Ferrari, Lotus, Porche and Lambretta all had seafront shows during our stay, or a quiet moment feeding the squirrels and crows up at Nothe Forte, or just walking the beautiful scenic coastal pathways all along Weymouths sea front; there really is something for everyone.
