This is the perfect place, and the only bad thing is having to leave at some point.

Alf can plan out your days, depending what you like. We followed suit and didn’t regret if.

I think everything has been said previously. Staying with Ann and Alf is simply sublime from the care and attention to detail in the rooms to the art of Ann's cooking and their friendly and engaging personalities. Staying with them spoils you for anywhere else. Breakfast has never been bettered anywhere. They are always ready to offer advice on local walks or restaurants/cafes but are never intrusive. Go and stay. You won't be disappointed. We have been following them since Pitlochry days and realised there, that we had struck gold.

As the Queen had just died, we took some flowers over to Balmoral. It is a beautiful drive through stunning scenery. We visited the House of Dun and think it the best National Trust property we have been to. We love sitting by the harbour at Stonehaven and buying delicious seafood from the bothy there. We were disappointed with the fish and chips from Gourdon after all the positive reviews but perhaps it was just an off day. The Creel Inn has amazing sea food. We loved St. Cyrus beach and the wildlife reserve there and anywhere along the coast. The light is so different to anywhere else and the air so fresh.

This is an incredible place to stay. Ann and Alf are experts in B and B. The rooms are immaculate, the breakfast menu has an incredible choice and is served at your table. The tranquility is so good for a restful stay.

Alf will give you all the top tips. We like the anchor restaurant however a dine in with Ann cooking is the best food you will ever taste.

Alf and Ann are excellent hosts. Accommodation is first class. Beautiful house with great views over the countryside. Wide choice for breakfast all lovely cooked and presented by Ann and served by Alf. Great team.👏 Enjoyed welcome afternoon tea in garden as it was a gorgeous day, very peaceful. We booked a meal on Saturday night again everything was perfectly cooked by Ann.
