Our second stay here and we just love it. Nice and quiet and a short walk to the beach where there is a lively coastal footpath in to Bamburgh. Will be back again!

An idyllic camp location sheltered from south westerly weather, looking down across the uncut grass field, a favoured place for hares and darting swallows and martins, Blustery winds in the treetops soothe you to sleep and raucous calls of jackdaws wake you in the morning. Three black sheep and their friends, two small pigs, are nearby to welcome you Celia is a charming host ready with information while allowing guests complete privacy. The walled garden is a great place to explore.

Tips for other travellers
The coast walk to Bamburgh is a must. Check the bus stops there to time a ride back. Ask to be dropped off at Kiln Point. It's only a hundred yards back to the field. Visit the castle or not. Walk along the sands which seem to go on forever. Have lunch at the Potted Lobster. Swim if you dare.
