Excellent location with spectacular views of the stones and the loch. Road can get busy with tour buses but only for a few hours every day. Very well equipped cottage especially the kitchen and bathrooms. Everything you need to be self sufficient for an extended stay. Lounge does need an extra comfortable chair for a fourth adult but plenty of chairs around the dining table. Fabulous welcome from the host Shaun. Would definitely stay again.

Tips for other travellers
Reverse into the parking space. This makes driving away safer as restricted view of the road. Early morning walk to the Ring of Brodgar avoids the crowds and affords great views of the sunrise. If you intend to visit some of the historic sites check websites as some require booking in advance with no walk in visitors. If you are an English Heritage member bring your card as this will give you free entry to several sites.
