It’s a stunning setting, tucked away in its own private piece of woodland, yet only 10 minutes from the gorgeous town of Dunkeld, 20-30 minutes to Perth or Blairgowrie. The house is phenomenal; spacious, clean, warm, comfortable, perfect for family get-togethers. Lovely walks around the area. A gentle half hour walk down the drive and up round passed some of the other residences that my 88yo grandmother managed without issue. Hannah and Sean are wonderful hosts and are on hand for help if need be but everything you need is provided.

Tips for other travellers

The hot water takes a minute to come through if it’s not been used recently; when having a shower or bath, turn the hot tap on and leave it while you potter about and do other things. It’s not an issue, and we worked around it perfectly fine.

Absolutely beautiful house, comfortable and relaxing environment set in lovely Scottish countryside. All of our guests said how lovely the house was with beautiful spacious bedrooms. With Sean & Hannah staying onsite, there was always someone around should it have been needed but we were left alone to enjoy the house. I would thoroughly recommend staying at Dungarthill House and I have no doubt I will be back again in the future.

Tips for other travellers

Depending on the group of friends you are staying with, evening time at the house are the perfect opportunity to play games or chat, we found planning a few games or activities in the evenings have a great opportunity for everyone to socialise together with no pressure. The house has everything you need, games, cards and of course the snooker table, we definitely packed too much!!
