Make sure to book Peets or Delilah's - we booked ahead so we're fine but people were being turned away at both when we were there.

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay in the Coach House. The apartment was spacious and stylish, well equipped and had a wonderful view from the terrace towards the Suilven mountain. Our hosts at the Albannach were very welcoming and provided useful local info and suggestions for walks, and were always on hand if we needed anything. Thank you for a brilliant stay.

We enjoyed the following local walks: 1. From the Albannach to Achmelvich beach - it’s quite an up and down route, but the views are amazing and the white sandy beach was stunning, it’s also worth walking a little further round to the next bay which was very quiet. It was more like 11.5km rather than 10km estimated. 2. Short walks round Culag woods - a well maintained set of paths with two beaches to explore 3. The Cansip loop - a lovely start to the walk up the river bank then over moorland and by a loch, finishing back at the village for a well earned drink. Note this was approximately 8.5km so again a bit longer than advertised.

Our best stay during our Scotland road trip. Well equipped, clean and spacious. Living in the Coach House means you can stay intimately by yourself, if you wish to do so. Super friendly hosts!

Go and buy some fresh fish at the fish van in Lochinver - every Wednesday at 1.30 pm. Its better than eating out!
