Our third visit to Mackie and Eimear’s lodges and we had a lovely week yet again. Red Kite lodge is fantastic and the views are stunning.

Tips for other travellers

Would recommend Greens at Dornoch, the food and service is exceptional. 10-15 min drive from the lodge to the beach at Dornoch and also the lovely forest walk at Golspie.

Try the pier restaurant and also canoeing with Go Wild Highlands with Ian.

The property is amazing with fantastic views, everything you can think of has been thought of and the attention to detail is amazing. The property is very well equipped and immaculately clean. we won't hesitate to recommend to everyone and hope to be back soon.

We had lunch at Poppy's Cafe which was great, lovely food, nice atmosphere and at a decent price. A walk up Ben Bhraggie from Golspie is worth the view.
