We had dinner at the small but perfect Galleria. It was another perfect meal

Derval and Dave were incredibly welcoming, and their home is absolutely beautiful. The cooked breakfasts were among the best we’ve ever had at a guesthouse—delicious and clearly made with care. Derval even gave us a lovely tour of her garden, where much of the fresh produce is grown. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Knowle to anyone visiting Hastings or St. Leonards. Thank you, Derval, for such a wonderful stay!

The Royale, St. John's Road is highly recommended for lunch or dinner. There are a lot of nice shops along Kings Road and The Crown, All Saint's St.(in Hastings Old Town) is a lovely pub with friendly staff.

We had a beautiful stay at the Knowle Guesthouse. Derval was an amazing host, she provided lots of recommendations and thoughtful tips ahead of our stay. She was flexible around our check in /out and went above and beyond while we were there, making our stay feel very special. The birthday cake she made was delicious. The breakfast was outstanding. The room felt luxurious and incredibly comfortable; the bedding was gorgeous, the bed was huge and super comfortable. The interiors of the house are very tasteful and create a serene environment. Would recommend the Knowle Guesthouse for anyone planning a trip to St Leonard’s.

We loved St Clements for a special birthday meal. The Albion in Hastings for a vibesy pub, as is the Piper in St Leonard’s. We enjoyed a drink on the beach at the Selkie. We were meaning to go to Collected Fictions wine bar but didn’t get round to it - next time.

We had the BEST stay at Derval & Dave’s beautiful guest house. So stunning, clean and the experience is the perfect combo of homely vibes + the special touches of a really nice hotel. The breakfast was delicious, you can really taste the passion & care that goes into it.
