Fabulous stay. Everything was perfect. The apartment was spotlessly clean and welcoming. Off street parking which is perfect as there are time restrictions on most roads nearby. Great communication with hosts. I couldn’t fault my stay. Great value for money. I’ll be back

Walking distance to harbour/Marina and restaurants. If you have a car…The Linney is a fabulous place to eat as is the Church House Inn Maldon. The Hare and Hounds in Kingskerswell does a fabulous carvery everyday

Having stayed at the Torcroft B&B last October, we knew the standard to expect from Gary & Philip and we were not disappointed. The apartment (number 1) had everything we needed for our stay. It was exceptionally clean and very comfortable and in a fantastic location only a few minutes walk into Torquay harbour area where there is an abundance of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. Several beaches are also within easy reach including Babbacombe and Oddicombe as well as Meadfoot and Torre Abbey Sands in Torquay. We took advantage of the excellent local bus service and left the car in Torcroft’s car park and took the bus to Brixham which took about 45 minutes and passed through Paignton, Goodrington and Broadsands (all lovely places to visit with great beaches)

We love Ollie’s (family run) Restaurant on Torwood Street, just down the hill, a few minutes’ walk from the Torcroft apartments, where we always visit on our trips to Torbay and have also visited their sister Italian restaurant Portofino in the Wellswood area of Torquay towards Babbacombe which we also love. This trip we tried Amici family run Italian restaurant for the first time (also on Torwood Street, opposite Ollie’s) which was excellent and one we will be returning to on future visits. We also love Shoals fish restaurant in Brixham overlooking the Shoalstone pool and with fabulous views across the bay and visited twice this trip (once for an evening meal and once for lunch, sitting on the terrace) Brixham is a very picturesque fishing town with a lovely harbour and marina with lots of cafes, fish restaurants, bars and individual shops. It also has the small Breakwater beach beyond the marina and beyond that, the seawater Shoalstone swimming pool both within walking distance of the centre of Brixham. We had breakfast one morning at the Lighthouse cafe on Torquay harbour which was very good. We also had cocktails at Elton’s piano bar on Torwood Street which were great with great music and tried the newly opened Yacht for drinks on the harbour and sat on the terrace. Travelling a bit further out, the River Shack in the beautiful village of Stoke Gabriel is excellent and in a very picturesque spot on the River Dart with inside and outside (both open and covered) seating. It’s only around 20 - 25 mins drive from the centre of Torquay and well worth a visit for breakfast, lunch, drinks, coffees and homemade cakes (evening meals part of the week)

Lovely apartment within walking distance to the town centre and bus stop if needed on way back uphill (elderly parent with us) Also central to areas we wished to visit. Very clean well proportioned bedrooms with ensuite, lovely decor too. Kitchen well equipped. Loved the steps up to the terraced area and cottage garden. Very pleasant to sit with morning brew or evening tipple. Would definitely stay again

Otto was our favourite restaurant/cafe to visit. Lovely artisan coffee and cake sat on the outside terrace overlooking marina Amici Italian restaurant was another favourite. Best vegan linguine I've tasted Torquay seemed to cater for all different tastes and age groups
