A friendly welcome and a great site. Pitches overlooking the sea. Facilities excellent- individual toilets and individual showers with hot water all included. Bins, water and chemical waste disposal all convenient to use. Good level hard standing pitches with EHU and grass to the side for chairs or awning. And amazing views!

A fantastic island reached by a Turn up and Go (we booked!) CalMac ferry which takes 20 minutes. We enjoyed a takeaway meal from the Nook cafe which is attached to the shop - 5 minutes walk from campsite. Lovely fish & chips and a quorn burger were thoroughly enjoyed. The new sauna is on the beach directly in front of campsite run by the lovely folks of Gigha Natural Skincare - I throughly enjoyed my sauna and dip in the clear waters. Bike hire (including doggy or child trailers) is across the road from campsite. Just park up your Van and enjoy the walks and cycling on the quiet single track roads. A lovely new path goes from next to the campsite up onto the road to the North and then returns from in front of the Isle of Gigha hotel. These are great gravel paths through the countryside for walking or cycling.

Food atvthe 'Nook' takeaway exceptional as was the home baking at the honesty box on the south road. Fantastic walk and bike paths easily followed by good signage.

We had an amzaing stay with our dog, Hamish. Even storm Dave didn't put us off. On the last night we enjoyed a lovely calm evening beside the firepit, watching the stars.

Gigha hotel has a lovely fire in their bar and the staff are all very friendly. Dogs are allowed in the bar section where you can order food. The food at the Nook was out of this world with some delicicous beer. They also have gin for the non- beer drinkers. You should visit the gardens towards the south and the twin beaches to the north. Make sure to keep your dog on the lead as there are livestock about your walking route. Try to leave your car on the mainland and explore by walking if you can.
