We've just had from the most relaxing weekend getaway at No.2 Awesome Argyll. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful in organising. The cottage is a welcoming retreat set in beautiful countryside. It is furnished to a very high standard & is spotlessly clean throughout. It has clearly been lovingly decorated with luxurious and homely furnishings and local art plus lots of extra special touches. We loved relaxing by the wood burning stove, so cosy. Both bedrooms are beautifully decorated. We slept in the loch facing bedroom and had the best sleep as the bed was exceptionally comfortable! The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials we could need and more and the bathroom is very stylish and modern. The cottage is in a very peaceful location and the scenery around Loch Awe is stunning. At night the air was so clear that we were star gazing, awesome! We will definitely be going back and would love to see the changing seasons and make the most of the lovely garden and barbecue. We can highly recommend No.2 as an ideal base to relax and to explore Argyll.

We drove left from the cottage and took a very scenic journey to Oban passing the Bridge over the Atlantic, Seil Island, Easdale and highland cows! After a lovely lunch in Oban we went up to McCaig's Tower which is a must for the panoramic views over the harbour and out to the Isle of Mull and beyond. When we return we'll take a picnic to sandy Ganavan Beach, go on a Seafari adventure from Easdale and dine at the historic Tigh an Truish Inn. Inverary Castle and a ferry to Mull are on our hit list too. There's so much to see and do in Argyll, we'll definitely need to stay longer next time!

The cottage comes equipped with everything we could think of needing and more! We particularly enjoyed the outdoor crockery so that we could eat in the lovely garden overlooking the loch! Thank you again for having us, we had such a lovely time!

We ate at the kilchrennan inn which is only a ten minute drive from the cottage. It does great food and drink! We also took our paddleboards down to the taycreggan inn lochside for easy access to the loch and enjoyed some beers after in their hotel garden overlooking the loch. We drove into Oban for a fish and chips and a sea swim at ganavan sands.

Great that you enjoyed your stay and the weather was kind enough for you to picnic/bbq in the garden! Also great that you explored the local area, sampled the food at the fantastic Kilchrennan Inn and found a spot to paddle board, safely, thanks to the Taychreggan Hotel, who I’ve no doubt looked after you well for drinks😊

No 2 is a wonderful place to stay we came back for our wedding anniversary holiday as we spent our honeymoon here last year it was great to be back in such a peaceful setting and to shop in the village again and be able to go to the local church on Sunday which was good. The facilities at No 2 are excellent there is everything you could need there for a stress free break. We enjoyed our stay again and it is in the perfect place to explore Argyll both locally and further afield. Incredible value for money and the area around the cottage and its garden is fantastic we will be back when we can.

Despite the rain this year we managed to get out to inverary and spent our wedding anniversary there as well as up to Achnecarry and Spean Bridge and Fort William.Oban is a good day out as well as poppies Garden centre Dunstaffenage Castle and the Ocean Marine Centre by Oban at Dunbeg. Over the Connell Bridge 7 miles towards Fort William is the Argyll Pottery and Racer Cafe which are well worth visiting as well as the Cameron Museum and Eas Chia-Aig Waterfalls at Achnecarry with the Commando monument at Spean Bridge Glencoe with the McDonald monument and museum are good and the Nevis Range Gondolas give a good view of Ben Nevis and the Great Glen. The local pub at Kilchrenan serves wonderful food and Black Rock on the left as you come into Inverinan also sells wonderful meals to cook. Graham's Grocer and Grants Butcher in Taynuilt have wonderful supplies to keep you stocked up also a craft shop and post office in Taynuilt. Supermarkets in Oban and Fort William and Inverary has a good mix of shops less than an hour from Inverinan as well as the beautiful castle and jail. So much to do in Argyll and No 2 will make the perfect base to make wonderful memories as we have these last 2 years of visiting.

We were delighted to welcome you back to No 2 and love that you wanted to spend your special anniversary revisiting our little corner of Argyll. Thank you for sharing your tips for other visitors - the local shops in Taynuilt are great and we are so lucky to have the Kilchrenan Inn as our ‘local’. We are amazed at how much you have packed into a relatively short time - so much to see and do in Argyll! Until the next time 😊

We were so lucky to find this beautiful cottage. It suited us perfectly, was spotlessly clean, was exceptionally well-equipped - and had so many thoughtful extra touches, I can't begin to list them all! Fiona was the perfect host and was always there if we had questions. Very highly recommended!

Admire the gorgeous view from the very pretty garden. Take a trip to Oban - a lovely seaside town about 40 minutes away.
