We took the opportunity to walk part of the West Highland Way at Tyndrum. We saw most of the area castles, be sure to double check days they’re closed. We saw and experienced a lot in 5 days

We've just had from the most relaxing weekend getaway at No.2 Awesome Argyll. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful in organising. The cottage is a welcoming retreat set in beautiful countryside. It is furnished to a very high standard & is spotlessly clean throughout. It has clearly been lovingly decorated with luxurious and homely furnishings and local art plus lots of extra special touches. We loved relaxing by the wood burning stove, so cosy. Both bedrooms are beautifully decorated. We slept in the loch facing bedroom and had the best sleep as the bed was exceptionally comfortable! The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials we could need and more and the bathroom is very stylish and modern. The cottage is in a very peaceful location and the scenery around Loch Awe is stunning. At night the air was so clear that we were star gazing, awesome! We will definitely be going back and would love to see the changing seasons and make the most of the lovely garden and barbecue. We can highly recommend No.2 as an ideal base to relax and to explore Argyll.

We drove left from the cottage and took a very scenic journey to Oban passing the Bridge over the Atlantic, Seil Island, Easdale and highland cows! After a lovely lunch in Oban we went up to McCaig's Tower which is a must for the panoramic views over the harbour and out to the Isle of Mull and beyond. When we return we'll take a picnic to sandy Ganavan Beach, go on a Seafari adventure from Easdale and dine at the historic Tigh an Truish Inn. Inverary Castle and a ferry to Mull are on our hit list too. There's so much to see and do in Argyll, we'll definitely need to stay longer next time!

The cottage comes equipped with everything we could think of needing and more! We particularly enjoyed the outdoor crockery so that we could eat in the lovely garden overlooking the loch! Thank you again for having us, we had such a lovely time!

We ate at the kilchrennan inn which is only a ten minute drive from the cottage. It does great food and drink! We also took our paddleboards down to the taycreggan inn lochside for easy access to the loch and enjoyed some beers after in their hotel garden overlooking the loch. We drove into Oban for a fish and chips and a sea swim at ganavan sands.

Great that you enjoyed your stay and the weather was kind enough for you to picnic/bbq in the garden! Also great that you explored the local area, sampled the food at the fantastic Kilchrennan Inn and found a spot to paddle board, safely, thanks to the Taychreggan Hotel, who I’ve no doubt looked after you well for drinks😊
