Forda Farm is a fantastic place to stay for exploring the West Country! The hosts were incredibly gracious and great to chat to, and the breakfast spread and cream teas were delicious. We loved hearing about the history of the farm and the local area and seeing all the cute animals :-) Strongly recommend!

Best stay ever at a farm ,if you want peace and quiet go here ,so much so that we stayed more time there than touring Devon and Cornwall. Home made scones and jam plus tea and coffee when we got there. Room was excellent with small fridge which had fresh water and milk each day. Breakfast very good each day so much so had to ask for half helpings , did have one evening meal on Sunday ,you cannot beat home cooking done by Val puts my home town restaurants to shame. We had a small tour of farm by Val and a lot of incite on how its run by her husband . Would we go back Yes no question. yours Paul & Norma Reynolds

Tips for other travellers

Bude is a must try to park at beach then walk back to little bridge to tennis court cafe. or park next to golf course carpark then cross road down hill in to town there is a lovely court cafe with shops. Would recommend RHS Garden Rose moor near Great Torrington as a day out.

Val is the perfect host. We were looked after and made welcome from the start. Val even packed the complimentary cream tea in a cool bag so we could have a picnic the next day. It was delicious. The choice of breakfast is excellent and all fresh produce. Val makes sure she knows exactly what you like and she goes over and above to make sure your needs are catered for. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The cats are gorgeous and friendly so I was in my element. Thank you Val.

The farm is only half and hour's drive from Bude and other surrounding areas so the location is really convenient.

A warm and welcoming family who looked after us very well. The food was excellent - it was high quality traditional cooking which was exactly what we hoped for from a farm B & B.

Tips for other travellers

We enjoyed trips to Bude and Hartland Abbey and Gardens, but we found the peace and tranquility of the farm and surrounding countryside gave us the most pleasure.
