A fantastic stay. We are a large family who felt we were very well catered for at Shetland Glamping. John and Julie went over and above. Thank you.

We travelled with young children. Our favourite bits have been enjoying the fresh air, views, sandpit/climbing frame and family time at Shetland Glamping. Things in the local area: A walk from the pod to Bigton - which has St Ninians beach, Bigton Community Shop (for some rolls/cold meats/fruit ) for lunch, Bigton play park available there too and the Haar Sauna can be booked prior to visiting the beach. Children over 8 can use this. Geocaching around the island was fun too. We choose a couple to find on our way to Hoswick. Clickimin Leisure Centre has a great swimming pool. They also have some childrens clubs/activities that you can attend if you sign up to their pay as you go membership. The “Shetland. Your essential travel guide” book, by Laurie Goodlad, was available to read in the pod. It was a great guide and also had some great suggestions of things to do with children (in all weathers).

Have stayed here a few times now. Love the pods they are really state of the art. Roomy, cosy, WiFi and tv too. Everything one needs for a home away from home. The views are also fantastic.

There is a surfeit of lovely beaches , so plenty of lovely walks and if brave some sea swimming. The Weekend bakery and cafe is really worth a visit on a Saturday morning. There are plenty of local attractions within an easy drive, Sumburgh lighthouse , hotel available for dinner/ takeaway.

Everything we needed was at the pod. We were very impressed with how thoughtfully it was organised and guests provided for.

We enjoyed queuing for delicious bread on Saturday morning in Bigton! Bigton shop excellent. Nice people to talk to. We loved Spiggie Loch and Scousburgh beach. We enjoyed Quendale Mill and Sumburgh Head.
