Ben Lomond Bunkhouse

I stayed in the 6 bed bunk bed room and as a first timer to sleeping in a dorm at the age of 54 I was very impressed. I had the best nights sleep there throughout the WHW. The bed was incredibly comfortable and clean and had small dim lights attached to use for reading. There was a draw under the beds for each bed to put some belongings in and plenty of hooks around the room. The bathroom was very large with a bath and a smashing shower. Plenty of room for toiletries and hooks and you get a bath and hand towel! The kitchen is incredibly organised and has free tea and coffee. The honesty shop is very reasonable with chocolates crisps tins of food microwave rice pasta and sauces cold drinks etc and delicious pizzas for a fiver. Everything you need to cook a meal is there so don’t worry. Breakfast included toast eggs porridge honey and jam etc included. The lounge is lovely and very comfortable with tv and board games and books etc. Alex was an excellent host and accommodated my friend on this occasion and rang around other places to see if anyone had handed in his list phone. Alex gave lots of tips for the following day too. This place is almost to good to be true and such great value for everything you get. We would have loved to have stayed in a place like this every night of the WHW. We highly recommend this place to stay. Alex you are amazing thank you sooooo much for everything and your kindness!

Very warm welcome from Alex and a good advice about day hike. Beds are realy comfie and warm. Good shower and bath. Perfect equipt and spacious kitchen.

Great staff, more than willing to give advice and information. Especially clean, quiet, beautiful environment. Breakfast was more than enough, overall very happy. Would definitely stay here again!
