The most friendly people ever who helped with everything needed-even before getting there. The nice little hostel also includes very thoughtful equipment and it is a lovely place to stay in: nice and homey with a view of the loch when being outside or in the communal area. The book shelf with a lot of great options was another great plus!

Tips for other travellers

Lovely walks in the area and there is a good even though not that frequent bus connection which can be used and the bus drivers interacted to get to the hostel in one go which was lovely.

Everyone we met was absolutely lovely and so welcoming. What an amazing respite from the storm! The whole place was so clean and the kitchen was really well stocked.

Tips for other travellers

Great base to head south and explore Harris or Scalpy. Recommend www.northharbourbistro.co.uk, excellent lunch or dinner. Had a fantastic meal here. Beaches on Harris are a must regardless of weather.
