Ravenspoint Hostel

What an easy review. Great place. SUPER clean and well organized. Private, quiet and all the facilities 100% up to scratch. Do yourself a favour....

A small traditional style hostel. Amazing and remote location and views. Staff very friendly. Everything you need on site even a cafe post office and equipped shop. In the kitchen a radio and plentiful tea and coffee making facilities.

TThis museum and archive offer an incredible look into island life. The hostels is well equipped and beds are comfortable. The shop has everything you need or would want from local organic produce to Haribo! The landscapes are beautiful, the loch views are remarkable, and you might even spot a seal! Most importantly, the locals are incredibly warm and welcoming. Public transport is also seamless—just take the W10 from Tarbert or Stornoway to Balallan, where a coordinated feeder bus drops you off right at the hostel door.

It’s a lovely facility (more than just an hostel) and the Community should be proud of it. I’ll ‘big-up’ the Hostel to my friends and work colleagues with strong recommendations about it.
