Central location so easy to visit all areas of Lewis and Harris. Helpful personnel, good to help community operation. Spotlessly clean. Will return.

Tips for other travellers

Good to visit during quieter months as less traffic, easier parking at vistas and beaches. Winter light and weather best for photography.

We had a very nice stay in your hostel, feeling like at home. David had been very nice, and had even invited us to a community land festival. Unfortunately, we had to take our ferry back Ullapool. We hope we will be back in the future and sure we will think about you for our stay. Thanks a lot.

Tips for other travellers

We liked very much the standing stones at Callanish, the Butt of Lewis, the port of Ness, the Blackhouses village, the tower of the Iron age, all the white sand beaches…Stornoway…we would have liked staying longer to visit much more.

Shop next door is well stocked, museum is very informative. View from the cafe is amazing
