We had a fabulous time ! The lodge was beautiful , very spacious and perfect for a family holiday . The kids loved the pool table and the hot tub . We hope to be back! Danny was so friendly and helpful , this also made it a much more pleasurable experience .

Tips for other travellers

Not far from kingslynn for all your local shops and anything else you’d expect from a town . We loved Bawsey Estate and park , the walk was so peaceful and the views were stunning, the kids and the dogs loved the little beaches as you walk round . Perfect little cafe onsite for a drink or a bite to eat afterwards . Only 45 minutes or so to the nearest beach - Hunstanton.

Hosts are very helpful and accommodating. Nothing too much trouble. Very well equipped lodge. 2nd visit and we loved it .

We walked in the forest daily but apart from that we didn’t leave the lodge, why would you, such a stunning place, cost and warm and full of home comforts.

Danny and Claire are amazing hosts - Fir Lodge was a dream. So relaxing! To spend Christmas there would be magical!

Basically head out for the coast and marvel at all the lovely villages and market towns.
