The Old Bakehouse

"A Gem in Seaton – Exceptional Hosts!" We had a lovely last-minute stay at The Old Bakehouse. It’s a beautiful B&B managed by amazing and welcoming hosts, Steve and Fiona. Steve truly went the extra mile by accommodating my "odd" omelette request two days in a row - it’s that kind of personal service that sets this place apart! The Easter bunnies gifted to us were such a thoughtful seasonal treat. If you are traveling to East Devon, we highly recommend staying here. Thanks again for everything!

We stayed in the cottage and it was perfect. Colyton is such a lovely friendly small town and our accommodation was comfortable, well-equipped and cosy. We had surprisingly amazing weather and enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the sun. There are pretty river walks very close by with the added bonus of coffee and the best hot cross buns ever at Finn's Deli on the river bank. Steve was a great host and made us feel very welcome. Steve and Fiona felt like friends during the stay wanting you to enjoy your time with them with the little touches. Breakfast was superb and as I have numerous allergies so easily accommodated and felt confident all would be well. Spotless clean room and ensuite, Borrowed Light, and I am fussy. Superb comfortable bed, soft towels and lovely bedding and pillows. Relax while you here with Steve's records at breakfast and have a paperback to read in your room or in the lounge. Building with character and great position in the centre of the town easy walk to hills, bus close by and pubs if you can fit any food in after breakfast! Sad to come home which is a sign of a good stay, but one simple thing I will be back.

Lovely hotel, the owners are warm and friendly hosts. Cracking breakfast and right in the heart of the town, everything is a minute or so walk.
