Had a lovely stay found plenty to do even with the poor weather every thing was there that you would have in your own home .going to book for next year .

Restaurant Charlie bistro very good west ford inn good Also cafe at pier at locmaddy went to politian at eraskey excellent food and hospitality

Great house for family groups! Plenty of space, ensuite facilities to all the main bedrooms and a bath for the children. There were nine of us, six adults and three small children, and we never felt like we were on top of one another. The toy cupboard is a brilliant addition, particularly given the weather we had!

Tips for other travellers

The beaches, especially Hosta and Howmore. The Politician on Eriskay made us very welcome, despite us not having a reservation, and the food was delicious. The cake at Hebridean Jewellery cafe was wonderful!

Lovely accommodation everything you need is suppled great location to visit every area we wanted to see. Beautiful sea views from the property with stunning sunsets. Great communication with the owner answering everything we needed to know. Highly recommend a stay in Taigh Mairi.

Tips for other travellers

We travelled up through North Uist to Bernaray to see West Beach which is a must. We also went down through Benbecula then SOUTH UIST to go-to Eriskay again beautiful beaches. You can also get the ferry to Barra unfortunately it got cancelled as we were waiting in the queue but hey ho that’s island life lots of wee craft shops and cafes in between.
