Lovely spacious property in a quiet rural enviroment, 9 ensuit bedrooms, hot tub, friendly staff, bbq, and a kitchen the size of a football field, what more do you need?

- Very friendly staff - The location of the site is quite isolated, roughly 30 minute walk from a small village. - The padel court was great but perhaps should be free for those on the cooking course as they have already paid a lot to be there.

Owner Response
Thank you so much for your lovely review and for attending the DOfE residential class, it was a pleasure to have you here. Just to explain the padel court is a separate entity to the cookery school and accommodation on site at Wold Escapes so although free padel for guests would be lovely it isn't viable. There is free table tennis, badminton, volley ball, a foot ball table, giant jenga and other board games for DofE students to use. Best wishes Georgina

Really nice place to stay. My wife and I did B&B and stayed 2 nights. Room was fine, with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, mirrors, plugs, etc. The door keys were easy to get hold of, despite no-one there to check us in (there was no need). The cooked breakfast was excellent and on time. Staff, or rather, Georgina, 'cos that's the only person we saw, was very friendly. The 10am check-out requirement seemed a bit harsh, but it tied in nicely with the breakfast times, so it worked out nicely. The EV charger (only 1 at the moment) worked well once I got on the Wi-Fi, although it is only a 7kWh charger. But it is only 50p/kWh. BUT, if you leave your car plugged in after charging is complete, the company behind the charger charges 20p/min (£12/hr) after 1 hr's grace. Not unreasonable, but extremely awkward if your car is going to complete charge at, say, 3am. I would like to see that altered so that there is no 'over stay' charge between, say, 8pm - 7am. But we will definitely be coming back to stay when we come this way again.
