What a brilliant place, very peaceful, loads of wild life. We had a great holiday, the accommodation had all we needed and with great views over the shoreline. There was plenty of hot water and heating whenever we needed it. It was good to meet you Sean and thanks for all your information about the area and animals. We are really glad we found your site and would definitely return for another holiday.

Castle Tioram was a brilliant well worth a visit. The local shop and Cafe in Acharacle are good, Ardtoe and Sanna are also well worth a visit as is the lighthouse. A trip to the small isles is worth the journey to Mallaig, look out for dolphins from the ferry! Salen has a good shop and facilities. Enjoy!!

Terrifiic location - on edge of bay with Rum just visible on the horizon. Great for wildlife - sea eagles, ospreys, badgers, foxes. Sean has done a fantastic job making the croft a haven of biodiversity - very quiet and private unlike picture above. And Sean was nearby if help or advice needed. The fridge-freezer didn't work but we just about managed with the small chest fridge, and the TV (+radio?) was bafflingly complex. Otherwise, excellent value, allowing for the fact that you have to take your own bedding and towels - a squeeze in the car. But had a lovely time - recommended.

Tips for other travellers
Note many amenities in the area and on Ardnamurchan that are still on the internet have closed down, so best to phone their numbers if you plan to visit them. Travel on the single track road that runs along the peninsula is very slow - 1.5 hours to Sanna Beach, for example. Temperate rainforest on south coast is worth visiting. Glen Eig and Arisaig area - stunning views of the Small Isles and white sand beaches. Avoid the Arisaig Marine wildlife boat trips - ripoff - overpriced and no information on wildlife. Otherwise, the west coast is gorgeous - dozens of beautiful beaches and great views. Probably best to ask Sean or other locals
