A beautiful location set in woodland. Very quiet and timeless. Had a relaxing stay surrounded by woods filled with birds and butterflies. Lovely to be off grid. My cosy cabin met my needs perfectly, with my own bathroom and shared kitchen a 2min walk away. Very dark at night, so use the torch which can be found in the kitchen. Plenty of wood provided for the fire pit. Would highly recommend.

A superb getaway from it all location. Beautifully appointed accommodation and location is fantastic. Walks are plentiful and you get to experience nature at its best. A great place to recharge the batteries with no distractions.

A very comfortable stay in the quiet woodland. We felt very welcome and the facilities were all we needed. Grouse was a great space and well thought out. I would have been very happy to stay longer than the 2 nights we had. Thank you Katy and James.

We had some good food and beer at the Tap in Brecon. The mountain centre was great for a short walk to see the Beacons and they had very nice reasonably priced food. All the locals were very friendly.

Our second visit. First one in winter, this one in summer. Beautiful at both times of year. Cabin and surrounding area are perfect. Everything is spotless & the place strikes the perfect happy medium of home comfort and being off grid. Who needs a tv when you’ve got a fire pit, bottle of wine and the sound of nature!

Last time we walked the four waterfalls but this time we needed to take a visit to Builth wells. We took time time to walk around there and it was an absolutely beautiful place. Loads of independent shops, coffee shops and pubs. It’s about 35 mins away in the car but well worth a visit.
