Sandra and Steve were excellent hosts. The standard breakfast they prepared each day was superb. However, they were quite happy to get additional things like gluten free bread and cereal, and also tomato juice, which is often not available at many hotels.

Sandra advised going to The Two Sawyers pub for a meal. We did this one day and liked it so much we went again another day. We visited a Chinese restaurant in Hastings called Yous Restaurant. It was pretty good and is one of a small number of Chinese restaurants that provide dining in.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Stream House and found the accommodation to be of a very high standard and fully deserving of its 5 star AA rating. Sandra and Steve were very attentive and friendly hosts who provided excellent breakfasts.

Stream house is the perfect base for exploring both Kent and Sussex. Both counties are rich in places to visit whether it is Batemans, Great Dixter or Rye. We had a fantastic meal at La Bella Vista and would recommend it to anyone.

A truly beautiful house set in a lovely garden with the loveliest of hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and Sandra and Steve made us very welcome.

Lots of areas to walk and explore including Hastings Country Park, the beautiful town of Rye and the east Kent and Sussex beaches. Plenty of pretty villages with good pubs for food. We had a celebration dinner at the Landgate Bistro in Rye where the food was amazing.
