Rose Cottage

Really lovely adaptations in the property. Very welcoming with the little extras for the dog and for us. Great location for visiting the lakes and plenty of accessible places and dog walks nearby. Really nice to be able to walk the dog from the property and let him free in the garden. Great communication with the hosts. Easy check in with the key box. Lovely, relaxing break.

I really enjoyed my stay at Rose Cottage, it was a very cosy and a safe environment. The access facilities were fantastic, the layout was well thought of, it was suitable for my needs. The cottage had all the requirements me and my caregivers needed to feel comfortable during our stay.

Fantastic facilities

A beautiful family led accommodation who take pride.from start to finish the booking was smooth. Any questions unanswered promptly. Unfortunately we had a couple of issue with heights of furniture as my partner is a full time wheel chair user but very independent with his needs. Due to these restrictions he was unable to sit on the sofa or share the double bed with me and wheel under the table to eat. Due to the difficulties we left a night earlier, unbeknown to myself there was elephant feet available which would have made it easier. My fault for not enquiring, my suggestion would be that these are advertised for future reference. We forgot to bring a transfer board and Katy provided the information of a local disability shop to purchase, maybe this could be a good purchase in the future. Whilst the toilet had hand rails there wasn’t one by the shower, maybe an additional rail close to the fixed shower rail would be an idea. Overall I would recommend rose cottage to others. These are very small adaptions for which my husband has said he would be more than happy to make some raisers 3D to make things easier in terms of height for others if required.
