Rose cottage is excellently equipped and very very clean. It is very well situated, a short drive from Penrith and has very nice views. There is a pub open Thursday-Sunday that you can walk to, and plenty of surrounding villages although you would have to drive as the paths don’t continue all the way.

Tips for other travellers

We had a lovely walk around Ulswater parking at Pooley bridge and following the trail round, We recommend Granny Dowbekins cafe for food and coffee, we also had a great time earlier in the year doing the boat trip at Bowness.

A lovely cottage, well equipped and very comfortable. Lovely garden to sit in and relax.Everything we needed in relation to my sons disability. Really enjoyable stay.

Tips for other travellers

Central to lots of places we enjoyed Lowther castle, Pooley bridge, playing in the river then went in the boat across the Lake. We also booked to use the pool at Calvert trust.

A lovely family and a beautiful place everything what you need very clean all beds comfortable nice living room and all you need in a kitchen always love coming to stay here
