Really lovely adaptations in the property. Very welcoming with the little extras for the dog and for us. Great location for visiting the lakes and plenty of accessible places and dog walks nearby. Really nice to be able to walk the dog from the property and let him free in the garden. Great communication with the hosts. Easy check in with the key box. Lovely, relaxing break.

Tips for other travellers

We visited Rheged and went into Penrith. Rheged great for the dog and the wheels. Booths supermarket as always was a treat for food.

I really enjoyed my stay at Rose Cottage, it was a very cosy and a safe environment. The access facilities were fantastic, the layout was well thought of, it was suitable for my needs. The cottage had all the requirements me and my caregivers needed to feel comfortable during our stay.

Tips for other travellers

Arturo Lounge, nice restaurant with a nice ambiance. Recommend you do a guided tour on the lake cruise around Windermere, it’s a 75 minute tour and you get to see a lot of the surrounding lake and scenery. Also the Secret Garden is a nice place to go and eat, little bit more upmarket but the roast dinners are delicious.

Tips for other travellers

Lowther castle a nearby attraction - mostly outdoors so not for a rainy day. The George & Dragon at Clifton did a nice Sunday lunch and accessible in to restaurant Rheged was another good visit for a rainy day

This is such a lovely place to stay not only for my mum whom has reduced mobility but great for all of us as a family . The home is clean and modern and extremely comfortable. This is a second stay here and sure we will be back again soon. Thanks Katy and Tom for making us feel welcome and it’s also so nice to have somewhere close to our home in which sadly my Mum can not access.
